Group Offering: Substance Abuse Group for Woman | Group Therapy for Seniors 65+
Hi, I’m Grace, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), and I care deeply about helping people feel more steady, confident, and capable of handling what life brings.
I know it takes courage to reach out for therapy. You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in patterns you are tired of repeating, or navigating a relationship or life transition that feels heavier than you expected. Or maybe from the outside things look okay, but internally you feel stressed, disconnected, or ready for something to feel different.
I have worked with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, substance use recovery, and relationship challenges. A lot of the people I work with are thoughtful and capable, but they’re tired of second-guessing themselves, overextending for others, or feeling disconnected from who they really want to be. I enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves and ready to make meaningful changes in how they live and relate to others.
My style is warm and interactive. I do not just listen. I help you make sense of what is happening and figure out what to do next. I rely heavily on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my work because practical skills matter. I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), depending on what fits your needs best. Therapy with me is not about labeling you or “fixing” you. It is about understanding your patterns with compassion and building tools that help in your everyday life.
One thing I say often is, “You are the master of your own life.” You know yourself better than anyone. My role is not to tell you who to be. It is to help you slow down, connect the dots, and decide how you want to move forward.
I am not a blank-slate therapist. I’m present, honest, and engaged, and I believe sometimes a little humor can make hard things feel more manageable. I take the work seriously, but I do not believe we have to be serious all the time.
I am currently expanding my training in somatic approaches, which means paying attention to how stress and past experiences show up in the body. Sometimes we understand something logically, but our body still reacts as if we are in danger. Learning how to calm and support your nervous system can be a powerful part of healing, and I am beginning to integrate that into my work.
Outside of therapy, I love reading, spending time with family and friends, working out, and being with my dog. I value growth, connection, and community in my own life, and those values naturally shape how I show up in the therapy room.
If you are looking for a therapist who will be steady, real, and practical with you, someone who will support you while helping you take ownership of your growth, I would be honored to work together.
